East Devon Eagles 84 - 14 Plymouth Titans

East Devon Eagles played Plymouth Titans in a double header game and came away with a 84-14 victory.  Titans travelled with several players short so Eagles loaned them Nick  Smith, Chris Strong and Dan MacLeod in order that the match could go ahead.

Straight from the kick off, Eagles Paul Flower opened the scoring when he crashed over under the posts, Rich Cadywould converting.  Titans quickly followed with an unconverted try from Dale Thompson but from then on the Eagles were dominant in both attack and defence with tries from Paul Morgan (3), Dean Bywood, Dale Sleeman (3), Cadywould converting 6 to give a half time score Eagles 46 Titans 4.

Right from the start of the second half, the Eagles continued their scoring ways with tries from Tony Emmins, Sleeman (3) Flower, Joe Perkins (2) with Cadywould converting 4 and Perkins converting his own try before Titans ran in 2 quick  tries in the last 5 minutes of the game from Dave Hall and Miles Murphy, Murphy converting one  but on the final whistle the Eagles were winners by 84-14
Man of the Match was awarded to Paul Flower for the second time out of 3 games this season for his extreme workrate and go forward.

The Eagles are now fielding strength in depth and have some promising new fledgling players in the Eagles next.

Next Saturday sees the South Dorset Giants at the Imperial Ground kick off 2.30pm which promises to be an interesting game.
