Devon Sharks 48 - 34 East Devon Eagles
East Devon Eagles, the current holders of the South West Challenge Cup, failed in their bid to retain the silverware when they lost a close fought semi final game against rivals Devon Sharks at Torquay.
Up until the last 10 minutes the lead was exchanging hands from one team to the other, but 2 late converted tries from Sharks dashed the Eagles hopes of a place in the Final.
Jack Downie scored a hat trick of tries and further Eagles tries were from Mark Wathes, Nathan Budd, and Tony Emmins, with Brad Perkins converting 5.
This Saturday sees the Eagles at home to Exeter Centurions in what is sure to be an exciting game with Eagles second place in the league and Centurions third. Kick off is 2.30pm at The Imperial Ground.
